How do deadlines work?

After we’ve decided on a program and you’ve paid, I’ll send you a Calendly scheduling link to select deadlines for your work. I’ll suggest what intervals might make the most sense to meet your objectives. I believe structure is important. Deadlines are friends. I also need to be able to manage an effective and efficient workflow. Because I work full time as a professor, I only have so much time each week for private clients, and I don’t want to overbook myself. I am committed to giving each client the time and care their work deserves.

I understand sometimes things come up and a client has to reschedule a deadline. In that case, I’ll send a new Calendly link, and the client would select another date.

Note that the deadlines of choice might not be available because they are already full with other clients.

How will I be invoiced?

I invoice using PayPal. You don’t have to have a PayPal account to use this invoicing service. I do not accept cash or checks. You are able to use a credit card or debit card or bank account with PayPal.

Are there payment plans?

For packages $1000 or less, payment is due prior to starting work. For packages over $1000, payment plans can be arranged.

What is your refund policy?

Every effort is made to ensure a good match between you and me. Coaching is a relationship, and it is also an exchange of energy. After you fill out your application, if I think we’ll be a good fit, I’ll send you a Calendly link to schedule a 15 minute Curiosity Call to just make sure we’re on the same page.

Because of these efforts, no refunds are available once work has begun.

How will work be submitted?

You’ll submit your work on the deadlines you’ve scheduled in Microsoft Word, 12 point type, standard margins, double spaced. I respond using Track Changes and a narrative next steps letter. Each program package contains its own deadline structure, so page limits and deadline content is unique to each client’s goals.

When can I expect feedback returned?

Work is returned within five business days of your deadline. If I am ever able to not make this deadline, I will email you ahead of time so you’re aware. Note that turning work in early doesn’t guarantee return feedback any sooner than five business days from your scheduled deadline.

What happens after I apply?

After you apply, I’ll assess whether or not we’ll be a good fit. If I don’t think we’ll fit (maybe you’re working in a genre I don’t specialize in), I’ll recommend other coaches that might be better. If I do think we’ll be a good match, I’ll email you within 48 hours (excluding weekends) to set up a 15 minute Curiosity Call to see how we connect and gain clarity on what package fits you best. We’ll proceed from this point based on your needs.

How do you define “women”?

Anyone who was assigned female at birth or who identifies as female. Transwomen are women.

What’s wrong with men? :-)

Nothing! Men are great. My husband is male, as is my stepson. I have a male cat. His name is Barney! My dad was one of my favorite people. But my coaching business is only for women because I do my best work with women. And it’s my business.
